The Junior High program at St. Louis Catholic School offers an environment where 7th and 8th grade students are challenged academically, spiritually, and physically. Our curriculum is college preparatory and includes Pre-Algebra concepts through Algebra I, integrated Science concepts that incorporate Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), and a rigorous English curriculum that includes a formal research paper in each grade. Students of all faiths are encouraged to explore their spiritual identity and grow in their relationship with God as a part of the Religion curriculum, as well as participate in service in our community. And Cougar Spirit runs high in our students as many actively participate in the various sports offered!
Junior High students are able to expand on or develop new talents through a variety of electives such as journalism, creative writing, speech, art, and American Sign Language. Eighth graders are also able to take their first high school credit foreign language elective if they choose, through Reicher Catholic High School.
Students attend weekly Mass at St. Louis Catholic Church and are responsible for participating every 8 weeks in Mass.

As a Catholic school, it is important that students live their faith by learning to answer the call to serve as Jesus did. It is the goal of St,. Louis' Junior High Service Program to make students more aware of the needs of others, of our shared responsibility to help those in need, and to serve others. At the end of their junior high career, our students will have begun to develop a life-long love of serving and giving generously of their time and unique gifts.
Junior High students will perform at least 10 service hours to the church, school, community, or individuals in need. These hours must be before or after school hours. All of the hours must be supervised and certified by an adult. To get more detailed information about our Service Program, click here.
